Paediatrics is a branch of physiotherapy management focusing specifically on issues relating to development of your growing child. Common issues within paediatrics are often either neurological or musculoskeletal. If you are concerned that your baby is not developing in the timeframe they should, or you believe that they are utilising their arms and legs in strange ways, Goldfields Physio is now able to perform subjective and objective assessments to guide your child’s development to achieving their proposed mile stones.
Goldfields Physio is also connected via email, phone and video correspondence to the Country Resources Consultancy Team (CRCT) at the Disability Service Commission for support on rarer conditions that we may not be subjected to treat often, for a second opinion at no extra cost. These physiotherapists have senior roles specialised in paediatric development and have numerous treatments to assist in the parents handling and active learning games to further develop their child’s movement patterns and mental growth.
Developing children/ teenagers can also be subjected to a multiple array of orthopaedic growing conditions, a common couple being Osgood Schlatters and Sever’s Disease. These can all be diagnosed and managed by some of our physiotherapists.
