Changing your equipment to suit your size, weight and contour to personal biomechanical requirements is commonplace in many sporting disciplines, but is often overlooked when it comes to bike riding. Considering the volume of time more competitive cyclists spend sitting on their bikes there is no wonder why the incidence of overuse injuries are a common occurrence. These sorts of injuries are also seen to happen in recreational riders as well as those with higher aspirations.
Goldfields Physio is now offering a tailored bike fitting service to modify your riding position to take into account your aerodynamics, power output and any biomechanical restrictions/injuries you may have to allow you to get the most out of your riding. An initial bike set-up and fitting appointment lasts for approximately 60 minutes, and adjustments thereafter take up to 40 minutes.
When attending your fitting consultation it is imperative that you bring with you your own bike, your riding shoes and your cycling clothing.
